Limoges China, Platter and Serving Bowl
The Limoges region of France has long been known for elegant, fine china. The pattern on these pieces is a gorgeous display of white and purple cattleyas, accented by scalloped gold painted edged. The makers stamps seen in the photos refers to AK/CD (Klingenberg and Dwenger) and places these as being made around 1900-1910. These are hand-painted works of art.
The original gold gilt around the edges has a small amount of fading. No chips or cracks are visible.
Photo shows the exact items, front and back. The platter is 12" in diameter. The serving bowl is 9.5" in diameter, and just a smidge over 3" tall (outside dimension).
