Lockhartia acuta x self
One of the rare 'braided' orchids. This miniature species has light green leaves that are intertwined to appear braided together. Tiny, pale yellow blooms appear in the spring and summer on branched stems. Mature plants can rebloom from older growths and eventually will make an impressive specimen. We suggest watering this plant like an Oncidium, due to its fine root system. However, bright indirect Cattleya light is best. Protect from extreme light and heat to avoid yellowing, or burnt foliage.
Plants are growing in 2.5" pots and are currently large enough to flower within 12 months. (Not recommended for mounting).
