Clowesia Rebecca Northen 'Mikabi'

(Cl. Grace Dunn x Cl. rosea)

This one will become a new favorite!  Related to Catesetums, Clowesia are also deciduous meaning foliage will drop in the fall and watering is greatly reduced for several months. Pendant stems of baby pink blooms with beautiful fringed lips and a grapefruit scent.

Growing Suggestions- This cultivar is warmth tolerant, and can tolerate temperatures 65° and up.  Good airflow is always recommended to keep the foliage looking good and free of spots. New growths emerge in the spring with that year's foliage.  Water and feed heavily throughout the growing months.  After the growth is mature, reduce/eliminate fertilizing, and greatly reduce watering.  Once the majority of the leaves have dropped apply no fertilizer and only a little water until spring. Blooms will emerge in late winter to early spring.

9/21/24- We have beautiful mericlones in 2.5" pots, that are expected to flower for the first time within 12-18 months.  Some lower leaves are starting to turn color from the changing season.

These beautiful plants were provided by our friends at a wholesale orchid nursery in Hawaii. Because we did not raise them in our greenhouses, we can not guarantee them to be virus free as we would our own lab grown material. Otherwise, we guarantee your satisfaction and safe delivery as with other plant purchases.
